Although unseen to the naked eye, viruses are capable of multiplying within cells of living beings and causing infections. Whatever the eco system- viruses come with the territory and are considered the most populous entity in terms of a biological element.

No organism is spared by these minute infectious agents. From plants to animals and even bacteria - all biological organisms will at some point in their life cycles have to confront a virus.

The spread of viruses takes place in different ways. For plants, viruses are spread mainly through agents such as insects that settle on them for feeding. On the other hand, viruses which develop inside the body of animals could be transmitted through insects that suck the blood of the animal.

As for human beings, common viruses such as influenza could easily be spread when coughing or sneezing.
